My two fave moments tonight (noted by others already, but worth chiming in on):
1. On defense -- the sideline shot of Shirley's game face (kudos to the cameraman for the close-up -- good work!)
2. On offense -- the rugby-type TD score (JJ24 and his gang of hogs) -- loved it!

I wonder if Toronto wore down a little bit in the 4th quarter? A 5-day rest for the Argos this early in the season really favoured us.

I know Ray had over 300 yards passing, but it didn't feel like he had that much. Kudos for Mark Washington making S.J. Green a complete non-factor tonight.

My early vote for "Unsung Hero" is David Menard. He doesn't play a whole lot but always seems to be around the ball.

Hope Kevin Palmer is a quick healer. We need him in there. Time for Vaillancourt to step in for Kirby Fabien.

They better win. I didn't come all this way to watch them lose.
Have fun. Maybe the Argos can offer a guaranteed win night. That should help the Lions.
This road trip which started at BC Place hasn't started out well.
Lions lost Saturday. :thdn:
Vancouver Canadians won Sunday.
Blue Jays won last night. :thdn:
Maybe it's one of those win one, lose one things in which case tomorrow night should be a win for the good guys. Then again next and final game on the trip will be Lions in Montreal.
I was listening to the radio game call in the Swartz Bay ferry lineup and my favourite part of the game came from a Julio Caravetta shout out to a Rob (I think) that he met on the plane and who was going to stick around for the Montreal game. Julio was very complementary about the chat he had with this "very knowledgeable fan".... made me wonder if this was you, Hambone... and if not, was the fan a Linebacker??

Another amazing defensive stat: The Lions had 10 QB pressures, 5 of them by DeQuin Evans, and all but one by the D-line, which rushed three or four players most of the night.

Evans 5
Turner 2
Roh 1
Forde 1
Elimimian 1

Last year we had a punter and not a field goal kicker. This year we have afield goal kicker and not a punter. BB
.

Good point Bob. But I'll give the guy props.

Richie Leone is to punting what Ty Long is to kick-offs. He gets off some rockets, which set our opponents up in poor field position.

Expect Swayze Waters next week though.

Long averaged 70 yards on his kickoffs tonight. He can punt for an average of 48 or 49 yards if he is allowed to just kick for distance. Directional punting is his big weakness.
