Admittedly I have not followed NFL football much this year. But this looks like a very nice matchup.

Cam Newton is rather amazing. Incredible athlete. Huge. Fast. Elusive. Very, very productive. Panthers have a very robust ground game.

Peyton goes for his second Super Bowl win. Broncos defence is first rate.

Interesting coaches. Rivera and Kubiak.

Looking forward to it.

Pulling for Denver I guess, it would be nice to see Peyton win 1 more before he retires, I've always seen Can Newton as being rather arrogant and immature.

My brother lived for years in Denver. He is a Bronco's fan and even he isn't really giving them much of a chance.

Interesting pre-game ceremony with all previous Super Bowl MVP's appearing.

It would be great if there's such ceremony to bring in all previous Grey Cup MVP's in a game. But I can imagine how difficult it is as in some years like 1964, there were no MVP's awarded. In other cases, there were two MVP's, one for offence and defence. But above all, the with the first Grey Cup being played in 1909 a lot of them are now gone. But actually, the first time an MVP was awarded was in 1959 to Blue Bombers RB Charlie Shepard who passed away in 2009. Second recipient in 1960, Ottawa's RB Ron Stewart is still alive at age 81.

Halftime:

Denver 13
Carolina 7

Very defensive game. Great job by the Broncos defence to contain Cam Newton and his offence while forcing several turnovers.

Carolina hits goalpost on a field goal attempt. Denver good on their attempt. 16-7

I guess in the end, this proves once again that good defence is what wins championships.

A happy result for some fans.

Good for Peyton. Two SB wins to match Eli. Cam will get other opportunities.

I watched a bit of the 3rd and 4th quarter and found it boring.

:dizzy: Saw Newtons post game, what a punk he wouldn't answer questions other than a yes or no they played better than we did. He has a lot of growing up to do and realize that Football is a team sport when you win or lose. Not impressed with this guy. Loved the outcome!

Saw that interview. Not impressed. And not impressed seeing him lie down on the sideline, when things went south in the game. Like a big baby. As you say, lots of growing up to do.

I had not seen him interviewed previously. Disappointed.

I only saw bits and pieces of the game.

Bad day all around for Carolina. Their Hurricanes lost earlier in the day followed by their panthers.
