Guilio on radio says he gets why Smith keeps at QB.

Black/Suitor say opposite. Suitor is right. Give Smith a break.

Great INT by Phillips but given his 'they ran up the score' whine when they lost to the Als 24-9 , his celebration at 34 to 3 looks a bit much. Great run back of the INT though.

Fans paid good money so how can the lions not play ?

Finally!!!

I see no reason why he was not in earlier even if just for a short time.

Higgins is not helping his starter by not giving him a bit of relief.

Lions totally dominating the stats. After 3rd quarter Lions have over 400 yards total offence. Als have 90 yards

Attendance at the final whistle? Maybe 2063 haha.

Who was in a fight pre-game?

ALs have quit. That's on Higgins as he left Smith out tooooooo long.

Suitor hammered on Chad Johnson most of the game. Will that guy last?

Lions have run up the score just enough to make their point. The Als know this could be a 50 point spread if the Lions want to make it so. Time to get Harris, Logan, Beck out of the game and let some second and third string guys get minutes. If more points come so be it, but that should not be the focus.

Can't believe Chad Johnson only had one pass thrown his way

BCL.... I honestly don't think the Lions ran up the score despite the BC players wanting to do just that (or some anyway). With that much time left in the game if the Lions had let up running the ball they'd have been injured. They had to keep playing as the risk of injury when you let down is too great.

I really think the Als were just that bad and given how Higgins stuck with Smith for so long their team just quit.

Higgins theory - give Troy Smith as many reps as he can get to learn but the reality is that it led to his squad just letting down.

Tanner Marsh at QB seemed frustrated and I suspect part of it was the lack of effort of their guys.

That end of game reel with Arceneaux's 3 TDs on TSN there should be the Lions next marketing piece - just that. If that's not POW material or gets fans in seats material nothing is.

Higgins should be fined by the CFL for his bad decision to not hook his QB earlier and turning the game into a boredom fest. It was painful to keep tuned in ...lol. IF Smith played QB for the prison football team the Supreme Court would have ruled that cruel and unusual punishment and sentence Warden Higgins to a year in prison himself.

The OL have to be quite happy.

Lions DEF happy.

BUT perspective says that was one not very good football they played today.

Suitor was saying CJ is not using the CFL motion rules. What I was not sure of there was IF this is his choice or his arrogance that he doesn't need to. He said how in preseason that 85 was diving around and now nothing. Suggests cutting him and going younger if this is the way he will play.

You have to wonder about Higgins, ex-CFL head of officiating, tosses two flags to challenge the call on the field and loses both. Does that say enough about his previous job or what. Funnier yet was the mention that the refs are running at 94% efficiency on calling the penalties this season. Sure if you want to kill the game the touch to the QB's head, or the extra touch when the QB slides, won't show up as errors, but they are glaring errors there, nevermind that there were calls missed that didn't receive flags that don't get called out as errors. I do think that the challenge flags today were at least all called correctly, which isn't always the case.

BTW, nice D by the Lions regardless of the stupid penalties that the offense took as Herbert goaded a few Lions into 15 yarders, and the Harris attempt at spinning the ball that hit the safety. At least two of those the Lions picked the penalty up by gaining yards beyond the point of the infraction. Lions had a mission and completed the deal by winning every aspect of the stats. Nice job, it will get tougher as we go along.

He sidestepped the first wouldbe tackler with a nice move and kept the train rolling forward. For a large man, Taylor doesn't look that bad running the ball, where many do.
