I enjoyed the game but it was sloppy at times with some of the turnovers. Lots of those 'not everday' type plays. Dales recovering a short kick to extend an early Eskimo drive. A blocked punt by the Esks that ended up working out just fine for the BOmbers. A large lead by the Eskimos heading into the half gets cut into by a late long Bombers TD pass on the final play. Not picking on the Bombers here. They earned the win. Eskimos and Bombers struggled at times, IMO. I'm not sure what the final turnover count was but it was an enjoyable football game. Nice way to spend a Thursday evening.......

Why don't more teams air out that long TD pass going into the half? If it hadn't been caught, fine, a pass interference call was called on the play too. I wonder how many viewers TSN would have lost due to that score at the half? Some I'm sure......

It was a lucky win for the Bombers. I was annoyed that the Winnipeg defense allowed a last series drive in the 1st half, a 1st series drive in the 2nd half both for points.

Normally, Edmonton would have been in position for the winning points on the last series drive. Somewhat added by penalties.

The Bombers need to tighten up. It's a 30 minute per half game, not 28.

Glad we won.

They were within field goal range if he had hang onto the football. Winnipeg played inspired football despite the turnovers.

I was glad the Bomber faithful were rewarded. It must have been a tough start to the season for them. And I'm glad a West Division rival was knocked off. I'm going with four underdogs this week, including the Lions.

Jyles has averaged 14 yards rushing per game and has fumbled 3 times in 12 carries according to cfl.ca. This is not the type of quarterback (or offense) Tillman promised the fans when he traded Ricky Ray.

Yet the Lions are looking up in the standings to the Esks....hmmm. Tillman may have the last laugh.

TSN says that of the last 10 games with these teams the home team has won.

Glad to see the Bombers get on the board with a WIN and also a West opponent as noted so that helps the Lions as this season I am sure now it will be tight all the way to the end of the league. No gimmes these days in the West.

Jyles fumbling - inexcusable at that stage of the game.

So true, who would think that a QB could do that...

The passing of Greg Mohns reminded me of that 'classic Damon' fumble in the Western Final in '99.
We should have been hosting another Grey Cup that year, but at least Damon made up for it next season.
Any QB who's won a Cup for the Leos is ok in my books.

Very well said! I said many times before that Damon Allen and the 1999 team managed to get some redemption a year a later with what I consider to be one of the most underrated WDF playoff wins (just look at my avatar) .

And given the fact that during 1997-2002 the team was considered the dark ages, even if the Lions managed to host and win the 1999 GC it would probably be considered the least popular, just like how the 2000 GC win is.
