Football 202

This annual event - for the graduates for the introductory Football 101 program - took place on Sunday July 6th at the Surrey practice field.
About 40 woman attended the event which was staffed by a number of Lions players including Jarius Jackson, Buck Pierce, Jason Pottinger, Jason Clermont, Ian Smart, Paul McCallum, Jason Jimenez and Sherko Haji-Rasouli. Former Leo Jamie 'I may be old but I can still kick your ass' Taras was the master of ceremonies.
As it turned out this would be a profound day of sadness for the Lions organization but the players were not informed until after the event so the spirits were high and all participants enjoyed a workout that included lessons in throwing, catching, running, linebacking, blocking, and kicking field goals.
I was rather steamed at having to cover an event featuring 40 woman but sometimes you have to take one for the team.
