I was going to let Quesdad post about this but he seems to be slacking.

Much thanks to Bob Ackles for coming over and joining us prior to the game. It was great being able to see him and get our photo ops and shake his hand. I know for some of you it was too early (yes I'm looking at you Steve!! :lol: ) but I know how busy he was prior to that game so it was really nice he took the time to come down and say hello.

Hopefully it won't be the last time, and maybe next time he'll also bring a few "friends".

On the whole it was a great time and a wonderful way for me (yeah I'm gonna get personal here) to kick off the second half of the season - the part where I actually get to attend games!

It was a great night of football for me! Thanks Bob!

Thank you Bob and thanks to Quesdad for making it happen and for making sure my Dad had a chance to have his picture taken with Bob.

Bobby Ackles is pure class. There's not many guys in his position that would "lower themselves" to attending a tailgate party with us "common folk." Bobby just proved with his attendance that he really is all about the fans. I wish I was there but it makes me proud to think that our football team is being run by a man of Mr. Ackles' character.

When Mr. Pierce let me hold Buck's ring earlier this season I couldn't believe how heavy those suckers are. Do they wear them all the time Ken?

Quesdad wears his mine all the time.

Keep in mind that the Players ring that Buck showed you is even bigger than Bobby Ackles Staff ring. They are actually quite huge.

Bob Ackles has one of those and he showed it to me at Training Camp. It takes up so much of his hand that it doesn't sit quite right and is really heavy. So he went and got the Staff ring because it fits better.

I believe they go in size from largest to smallest: Players, Staff, Waterboys

I too, wish to post a thank you to Mr. Ackles (call me Bobby) for coming to the tailgate - and thanks to Quesdad for inviting him.

It was fun for all of us to shake hands, chit-chat and grab a few pics. It just goes to show that Bobby appreciates that the working class, grass roots folks - of which he is one - are the real reason that pro sports teams can exist.

It was certainly a privilege to have met Bob Ackles when he came to the tailgater last September 15, 2007. I shook hands with him and I will never forget that moment.
