Casey, come home !!!
Wally Buono: you messed up once on this whole Printers debacle, you can't mess up twice. It's time to see the forest from the trees and make the right decision.
Spend less effort on this Boerichter guy and concentrate your time and efforts on bringing in a player (Printers) who will excite the crowd and put butts into seats.
Judging from how small the crowd will be tonight for Montreal, you have reason to put more butts into the seats.
Yes printers needs to get better and smarter, learn better how to read defences. But he's the future. he's talented and exciting. Mildly arrogant, but he wants to win, and he wants the ball.
Wally slipped once on this, he can't slip twice. The opportunity is there.

When he signs with the Argos, so he can be reunited with the guy he trust in Steve Burrato, will you please switch allegiances and leave the actual Lions fans on this board be?120dB wrote:Casey, come home !!!

Sports can be a peculiar thing. When partaking in fiction, like a book or movie, we adopt a "Willing Suspension of Disbelief" for enjoyment's sake. There's a similar force at work in sports: "Willing Suspension of Rationality". If you doubt this, listen to any conversation between rival team fans. You even see it among fans of the same team. Fans argue over who's the better QB or goalie, and selectively cite stats that support their views while ignoring those that don't.
Are you the guy that quit Lionbackers a few months ago/last year?120dB wrote:Casey, come home !!!

Printers may catch on with another team in the NFL. Don't think that he's automatically coming "home" just yet.
And even if he does not stick in the NFL, he will have the option of going to 8 teams in the CFL, not just one.

There won't be 8 teams looking for his service, as the one with Chapdelaine won't get a return call from CP. The TEAM reported that 6 teams were interested in CP's services in the NFL, seems high considering, but CP must have made the decision to avoid the PR knowing some interest was out there. This is his first and last shot at the NFL, so it is now or back to the CFL.Reider wrote:Are you the guy that quit Lionbackers a few months ago/last year?120dB wrote:Casey, come home !!!

TO just signed Boerigter today, they may have themselves in a difficult situation financially and as has been mentioned here, a 9 game IL for DD would make it feasible for the Lions to find Cap room.
Entertainment value = an all time low
The Lions just won their Grey Cup rematch 46-14 with Jarious Jackson at quarterback, they're expecting Buck Pierce back on the practice field next week, and he's 8-3 as a starter in his career, and Dave Dickenson is helping out from the sidelines as he prepares to come back in the second half of the season.
If you thought it was bad before with Casey and Dave both wanting the ball, think about what it would be like with Buck and an improving Jarious in the mix. Team chemistry is critical to success. When fools play with chemistry, things blow up in their faces.
Casey would not mix with this team. I wish him well but don't expect to see him here.

Do we REALLY need a guy that can disrupt the team's chemistry ? He made the decision not to sign a contract offered by Buono and chose to leave. We currently have a quarterback on the roster that is a team player with great potential. His name's Buck Pierce, perhaps you may have heard of him.
