it's a fine line between allowing new members to sign up with relative ease and preventing spammers from posting.
the current setup is working fairly well ..... almost all spambots are unable to complete the registration process and if they do they are unable to post while legitimate new members with a bit of tech savy can get thru the hurdles .... it aint purrfect but it is working
