It's not uncommon in the NFL for a team to be scoreless after a game. Two games happened that way this week in the NFL.
Don't think something that that (two scoreless teams) occurred on the same week in the CFL.

Yeah, I pass by it myself sometimes. Judging from some of the placards I've noticed posted around the grounds, it looks like some clothing and shoe stores use it on weekends occasionally for clearancing old stock.

Sports can be a peculiar thing. When partaking in fiction, like a book or movie, we adopt a "Willing Suspension of Disbelief" for enjoyment's sake. There's a similar force at work in sports: "Willing Suspension of Rationality". If you doubt this, listen to any conversation between rival team fans. You even see it among fans of the same team. Fans argue over who's the better QB or goalie, and selectively cite stats that support their views while ignoring those that don't.

How about the Dutch Windmill? Is it still there? I wonder Richmond would consider that as a heritage landmark. Personally, I think that's a good sight driving north after exiting the George Massey tunnel.

Who remembers when Halloween chocolate bars were regular sized for the kids? When did that transformation to the 100+ gram size take place?

I sure do. It was a Tuesday I think. I belonged to Cub Scouts and I had a meeting or assembly or whatever they were called that evening. I walked there from my house. I pleaded for my Mum to let me skip the meeting but she said no - very forcefully, so I missed most of the game. I got home in time to see George Armstrong ragging the puck as the last seconds wound down. I was really mad at my Mum for that. In a way, I still am.

No more. Times changed, neon faded in popularity, and was even derided as a “sleazy light source” by anti-blight crusaders. In the late 1960s Vancouver council enacted laws that put an end to the big neon spectacular — for decades you couldn’t even put up a flashing neon sign. Today there are only a few dozen of the 19,000 signs left.

It was 20 years ago today when the École Polytechnique Massacre, also known as the Montreal Massacre, occurred on December 6, 1989 at the École Polytechnique in Montreal, Quebec, Canada. Twenty-five year-old Marc Lépine, armed with a legally obtained semi-automatic rifle and a hunting knife, shot twenty-eight women before killing himself. 14 women died.

Doesn't anyone remember the series of Survivors on in the 70's from BBC? I see now that a newer version of this is being played on BBC (BBCCA channel 137 Shaw), has anyone seen this series?
