In a very close, defensive game 5, the Giants put forth a solid effort to win 3-0 and are now on the brink of defending their WHL Championship. But they must do so on the road. Great job by Tyson Sexsmith to post his second straight shutout.

The Giants had the opportunity to finish Medicine Hat tonight but lost 4-3. Game 7 is scheduled for tomorrow night.

First time in WHL history that a game 7 in the finals has gone to OT, and the first time in Giants history that they've played a double-OT game. Final shots were something like 39-37 Giants too... two teams don't get much more closely-matched than this!
