Don't think being a SeaGal is all peaches and cream. It's certainly not the cream. In fact, they have a weight provision that stipulates that if they gain 3 lbs from their 'target weight,' it's grounds for dismissal. The Seagals have an even tougher weight requirement than the Dallas Cowboys.

After starting the year with 32 women, they ended with 28. Two women were released toward the end of the season for failing to meet their weight goal.

They also get paid minimum wage ($7.63 an hour) with increases for inflation.

"This has been a really difficult year for a lot of girls," said Colleen Murphy, 24, a four-season veteran who was voted Sea-Gal of the Year. "There have been a lot of hurt feelings and hard feelings."

Let's not forget the Grizz Dance Team! If Canucks owner Aquilini can get the Trailblazers here (recent reports), we may have these ladies to watch too! In the top photo, note Melissa middle row far right. After the Grizz left town, Melissa became a choreographer for the FeLions:

Please make an effort not to double post or repost what you have already stated in this other thread:

On a side note, I do not believe there is a capital L in "Felions".
Thanks.

edit: i just realized you're hijacking your own thread . . . :i:

Hey, remember when we actually had an NLL team, The Voodoo? They were doing great until Orca Bay bought them out and then shelved them a couple years later. They had the Voodoo Dolls :)

When the Vancouver Nighthawks of the World Basketball League existed in 1988, did they have cheerleaders?

Since this topic was originally comparing the dance teams of Seattle's football team to Vancouver's football team, because some pictures of the dance teams of Vancouver's former basketball team have been posted, then it's only fair to post some pictures of the dance team of Seattle's basketball team too.

The Seattle Supersonics Dance Team:

Robbie wrote:What I really like about the Seattle Seahawks web page is that there is a section entirely devoted to the history of their cheerleaders:

http://www.seahawks.com/SGHistory/default.aspx?SecID=75

You will see cheerleader squad pictures for each year starting from 1976.
The most famous cheerleaders in the NFL seem to be those of the Dallas Cowboys. They also have a section of their web page where they have group photos of all their previous squads starting from 1961. I hope the Lions can eventually come up with such pictures of their past cheerleading squads.
