Who's better, the SeaGals or the FeLions? Rate each on:

1. looks
2. talent level
3. quality of dance routines

As many of the FeLions are members in good standing with this board and some have graciously allowed Photog to post their pics on this site ... I will refrain from any comments on this subject and would hope that many other Lionbackers will do the same.

I don't think this is a topic worthy of the potential harm it may bring.

That is merely my personal opinion and I will not utilize my mod powers to shut this thread down unless a majority agree with me or if D (as supreme and omnipotent ruler here) says to.
Now that I don't live in Quesnel do I need to change my handle??

I agree.

Was already involved previously in a "discussion" about this topic and nothing really good evolved from it.

Like I said before, I would give my left nut to be with anyone of them :rockin: .

Correct me if I'm wrong, but I believe it's the Seahawks lame attempt to copy our Felions, albeit with poor uniforms (And results)
3rd Down

Not really sure why anyone would want to shut this discussion down ... obviously there's lots of "Lions Fans" that are there for reasons other than "Damon Allen" ... too bad for them!!

Whether they are Caseymania Fans ... or cheerleader fans ... Felion Friends ... who really cares ...

...most on the board ('cept the die-hard anti Braley, Buono, Mr. Brittle types) are not bad peeps ... let them have their fun ...

..and to answer CB120's question .... Felions!!!

What happened, 3rd Down, was some Felions were offended when some memebers of this board were mis-quoted. So we don't want to offend the Felions, hence the no-discussions rule.

Yup, your 100% right junior. The Lions were the first football team to hve a dance/cheerleading team. :bang:

Well, what did you want me to say? That the Felions suck? I was only trying to add some humour. :sigh:

I will have to disagree with your point about the uniforms. Personally, I think the uniforms for the Sea Gals are much better looking. They have two sets of uniforms. And they are one of very few cheer teams left in football that dress less conservative and more provocatively as instead of the traditional short skirt, they shifted to a more revealing leotard costume.

The Lions cheerleaders actually dressed in a similar way from 1986 to 1988 and also from 1990 to 1992, before reverting back to more conservative costumes.

What I really like about the Seattle Seahawks web page is that there is a section entirely devoted to the history of their cheerleaders:

http://www.seahawks.com/SGHistory/default.aspx?SecID=75

You will see cheerleader squad pictures for each year starting from 1976. It was in 1981 that they adopted the leotard costume.

Below are Sea Gal cheerleader pictures from, in descending order, 1981, 1985, 1988, 1993, 1996, 2000, and 2003.
