What a major disappointment in such an important game.
The same issues we have brought up all year came home to roost.
The Lions simply aren’t good enough. We have relied on VA to make huge plays out of nothing.
This is on the coaches and management for not addressing the lack of run game that we have had all season

This is also where wpg playing Argos light last week really bites.

Winnipeg ran the same play all 2nd half and we couldn't stop it. So smart Buck Pierce keeps calling it. Our coaches in the 2nd half go away from what works. Unbelievable.
If there's any consolation, this team would have stunk the joint out playing the western final on 2 weeks rest.
I went to a restaurant that serves "breakfast at any time". So I ordered French Toast during the Renaissance.

BC’s lack of run game and protection for the QB will be a source of stink in the WF if they make it.
Olivera and Demski will run all over us on a cold game day in Nov in Winnipeg

Lack of a run game. I said it before but letting Butler go in free agency was a huge mistake. Mizzel is speedy but struggles at getting past first contact or even falling forward when hit.
The lack of a run game will be magnified when the Lions have to play outdoors in the playoffs.

he could have kicked it through the endzone too for a single.
But let's really look at what cost this game. The usual suspects appear.
1. A weak oline.
2. No running game to speak of
3. VA hangs on to the ball too long when under pressure.
and for good measure. That OT PI was a turd. That ball was a throw away. It was a cheesy call in a tight game and the officiating wasn't stellar all night.

On the postgame show Campbell says that they talked about going down on the last play of the 4th but Rhymes wasn’t there for that talk?? Who’s fault is that??
At least the Lions didn’t get caught holding, the O-line barely touched the Bombers rush.
Can’t believe how the underneath passes worked so well. Just have to beat them the next time we meet.

Entertainment value = an all time low
That Winnipeg player was flailing like a soccer player. What a BS callSir Purrcival wrote: ↑Fri Oct 06, 2023 10:16 pmhe could have kicked it through the endzone too for a single.
