Maybe TSN looked at the tape and picked the best games?

Re: Lions slighted ?

I’ve long argued the CFL should promote Canada Day and Thanksgiving as featured dates in its schedule, as it does Labour Day. Instead the schedule has featured a Thanksgiving doubleheader some years and no Thanksgiving game other years.

Winnipeg, Montreal, Toronto, Saskatchewan and Edmonton seem to have played more Thanksgiving Monday games than other teams in recent years.

I believe the Lions’ last Thanksgiving contest was in 2010, a 47-35 overtime loss in Winnipeg. That would be fun to watch again, at least for three quarters. The Lions imploded afterwards, surrendering 21 points in the fourth quarter and 15 in overtime, including a game-clinching pick-6 off Casey Printers that led to a helmet-throwing sideline tantrum. Printers was cut afterwards.

Over the years BC has often played on Thanksgiving weekend but usually on the much preferred by fan's Saturday night or even Friday. I always look for the Thanksgiving weekend schedule in hopes of a possible Lions-Canucks weekend as the NHL season is always under way by then.

Looniecap.com

Checking out an old computer and found looniecap.com in the CFL archive. Looks as current as before and has free agent lists and more. Sometimes it's nice to know although not sure it includes bonuses so take it with a grain of salt.

Correct BCF. Two more times in the mid-2000s they played on Turkey Day on the road. Last time they had a home date on Thanksgiving Day was 2000. They also played at home in 1999 and 1995. So 6 times in the past 25 years but only once in the past 15.
