After the game, TSN SportsCentre interviewed the Touchdown to Win contestant who missed out on the $1 Million prize due to a blown call. Well, at least she won the $25,000 entertainment system.

The Argos were their own worst enemies again--too many penalties.

Another entertaining game, it's been a great season so far (even with the blown calls).

A week after playing one of his best games in recent years against his old team, Ryan Phillips is a healthy scratch for Montreal against Calgary. Fellow ex-Lion Brandon Stewart is activated in his place.

Montreal leading Calgary 16-9 at the half. Darian Durant has thrown 2 interceptions. Montreal has surrendered their first sack of the year. Jerome Messam has been ejected from the game for unnecessary roughness.

Calgary doesn't play well in Montreal. The Stamps have just 3 wins in their last 10 games in Montreal, including their only road loss of the season last year.

Calgary ties it up on a post pattern to DaVaris Daniels in man coverage against Brandon Stewart. You know Dave Dickerson has been waiting for an opportunity to pick on Stewart.

30-23 Alouettes, 307 left.

My pregame keys ...

Messam messes up.

Thorpe's defence effective.

Durant plays well.

Sutton runs well.

So far, so good.

The Calgary curse in Montreal continues. Good second half by the Alouettes. They finally got the running game going and Durant settled down and got some big catches from Jackson, Cunningham and Lewis.

For the second straight week, a Trevor Harris mistake gives the opposition a defensive touchdown. Those are huge momentum swings. Ottawa will have to play much better to overcome that mistake.

Ottawa are still winless after dropping a 23-21 decision in Edmonton. Their record is 0-3-1

Ottawa gave up 10 points off turnovers and scored none. On the season they've given up 36 points off turnovers and are 0-3 when they lose the turnover battle. They also went 0 for 2 on 2-point converts tonight when they could have tied the game by kicking two 1-point converts in the second half. They also lost yards twice on second and short by handing off deep in the backfield from shotgun rather than running a QB sneak as they did successfully all last season. The Redblacks can play with anyone but they're killing themselves.

So I have two questions about Officiating from tonights games.

On the first play of the Als game, can someone explain to me how the Jackson catch wasn't the result of Off. Pass Interference? He literally changed direction ran over the defender and pushed him to the ground. Is the defender not entitled to his space?

In the Esks game, the Ottawa lateral that went for an Esk TD. Did not the Edmonton player clearly block the Ottawa player in the back when he was trying to make the tackle? I didn't get to watch this game so I don't know if a penalty was called on the play or not but it didn't seem to be the case in the highlights package.

And lastly, how crappy should the Official from last nights game feel after not only making a ridiculous call on a TD kick return that nullified a great play but also cost some poor person a million freaking dollars. I see that there was some attempt at apology by way of providing some lesser gifts to the person in question. To me that seems tantamount to an admission that the Official on the field got it wrong, badly. This time it cost someone a lot of money and a chance at a completely different life, a payed off mortgage, a chance for mother to not have go back to work after mat leave. The consolations gifts probably amount to a few thousand dollars. (the home entertainment system was already won by the way so that shouldn't count). It is really unfortunate and frankly, if the league really thinks that the call was wrong, should man up and award the prize.
Tell me how long must a fan be strong? Ans. Always.
