Hamilton sits out.

OTT @ CGY ... The rematch of the rematch. Another tie? Nah. I expect CGY to win.

BC @ TOR ... Wally is resilient, and his team oftentimes reflects that. But I would have to favour TOR in a betting pool.

MTL @ EDM ... Gotta think Reilly will lead the ESKS to victory against the visitors from the East.

WPG @ SSK ... Who knows? Is Jones' team ready for a win?

Great example of detailed game planning by Ottawa. Hughes unblocked, but influenced, creating imbalance, touchdown by Sinopoli. 30-27 after 3 Qs.

Ottawa D taking McDaniel out of the game, throwing Bo off balance.

is Ottawa over achieving, or is Calgary under achieving??

injuries a factor??

I still find it hard to believe that Ottawa is going to be a .500 team this yr.

Can't ever recall kickers missing 4 converts in a game.

Anyone interested in watching ex-Lions can check out Saskatchewan's defensive line. Three ex-Lions are listed as starters on the D-line for their home opener on Saturday: Ese Mrabure, Zach Minter and A.C. Leonard. Leonard was brought to the Lions by Jeff Tedford as a 250-pound tight end with 4.5-second speed but has resurrected his career on the other side of the line as a defensive end.

Ryan Phillips is starting for the Als and boy does it look weird to see him in any other colours besides Leo orange and black.....and white.

Mosaic.

Riders not looking good. Defensive breakdowns. Offensive screwups. Kevin Glenn --> good, good, then bad. Repeat.

Still find it easy, and even fun, to root against Chris Jones. No hate though. It is just a football game.

Bombers 34-23 after 3.
........

CFL ad: Rod Black ''It is a great night for football.'' Way to go, Rod. A cliche from Rod Black. Whooo Hoooo.

Watching the Rider - Bombers and the new Mosiac does indeed look special.

The Rider secondary however......numerous busted coverages. Dressler scored 2 TDs and could have had one more on a busted cover, same with Clarence Denmark.

Riders came out with fire but the Bombers adjusted nicely and have the lead.

6:33 to go.

Jones dials up a very nice blitz.

37-30 Bombers

Leggatt near miss on Int, would be TD.

Pass completion. Fumble. Recovery by Peg. Overturned. Ooooohhhhh, this fan does not agree.

As Rod Black said: "Beautiful night for football.'' Ha ha

Glenn the Good, then bad, then good. Tie game.

Down to the crunch. Two failed plays by Glenn. LOL Good then bad. Huge yardage. 2 TDs. 2 Ints.

Mosaic going crazy.

34 sec left. Overtime.

Riders getting some homer calls. Seems to me.

Okpalaugo. Ogopogo. Should play for the Lions.
...........

OMG

Crapigna craps the bed. Peg only needs a FG.

Bombers win.

I couldn't help making the same connection every time I saw him.

Exciting game, as most have been this year. The Saskatchewan secondary is going to be the death of Chris Jones in Riderville unless he gets it turned around. If Matt Nichols can throw for 331 yards and 4 TDs against that defence, the Riders have problems.

Still, Kevin Glenn and his talented receiving corps nearly pulled off the comeback. The Riders can be competitive this year, and the locals can find plenty to cheer for in their new stadium, even if their team doesn't win a lot of games.

Chris Jones has me puzzled. His success in Edmonton might have gone to his head.

The Riders look disorganized. With the way they look, it is hard to picture a turnaround.

Was Jones the only HC this weekend who felt it was below his dignity to don the 150 t-shirt that in his case honoured the legendary George Reed? Just another sign of his "me first" and damned anybody else. Very disrespectful IMO.
