If the three weeks of camp was nothing more than a calculated ploy by Lions coach/GM Wally Buono to pressure Jackson by signing Peterson and then getting Jackson to agree to a reduced contract, it worked.
If it was enough for Peterson to question why he won't play despite being the more healthy of the two veteran non-imports, or whether he should have signed with the Lions at all, he'll keep it to himself.

Well now, there is a departure from type for Wally B, young NI's are going to start in Montreal, something he has been hesitant to do in the past.
To me, I thought Kaumu Peterson looked fine in the preseason and he provides excellent depth, as does Steve Black, we are a surprisingly deep team heading into the season.
In other news, Brent Johnson and James Yurichuck will be Ratio hedges for the Defense, Johnson will play when we run the 4-3, Yurichuck in the 3-4, problem with that is when oppoenents see either player on the field they will know what alignment we will play that series.
