Suitor thinks a flag was merited. I'd be inclined to agree.
Oh yeah. Got away with one.

Then someone upstairs, way upstairs, with the Angels ... Sam Etcheverry perhaps ... gave the Alouettes some more chances at the end.

Recovered own fumble. Second field goal shot. Et cetera.

Rider Nation brought the 13th man to McMahon. Too bad the coach decided to put him on the field.

I'll be the guy to post this:

How many Roughriders does it take to lose the GC?

13...

Yeah. I noticed that too. Different read on the scramble rule presented by the announcers than some of the experts on this site though.
Enough is enough.

Another last second field goal win!

Ian Sunter in 1972
Jerry Kauric in 1987
Dave Ridgeway in 1989
Lui Passaglia in 1994
Mark McLoughlin in 1998

Add Damon Duval in 2009.

That was unreal! What a *frig*' game in the end. :rockin: It wasn't just the comeback that was silly stupid but the HUGE coaching decisions that had to be made.. wow who wants to be in their shoes? 3rd and three?? How about the single point call?? At first Miller doesn't want to give it, then changes his mind and look what happens. Just soo many little story lines that play a huge part of this win.

I'm glad I'm not a rider fan tonight though... OMG

I'd forgotten about that call. And just to make it even worse, there was a penalty which would have pushed the Als further back and likely not getting the single point, which ended up being the difference. He takes the penalty, Als move back and that FG was for OT (possibly) instead of game winning. That was a HUGE decision in the end.
Now that I don't live in Quesnel do I need to change my handle??

The one positive thing for the Riders is that they will be very motivated to win it again next year. The have a solid core and now a QB with experience in the playoffs. Having said this, anything can happen in the next 12 months as Winnipeg fans can attest to when they lost in the GC and never were close to coming back.

In the 1987 Grey Cup, it was not a last second field goal, although it was in the last minute.
The Argonauts had another opportunity to put their ball to field goal position, but gave away the ball on downs.
