Hopefully with 3 weeks to go, that 40,000-50,000 tickets can be sold for the western final.

True... even more so is the number of contra deal season tickets the Lions have out there where the playoff game is not included.Rammer wrote:Yep a good time to pick some nice seats from any ST holders that didn't renew their seats.
Initially there are better seats available for a playoff game than any of the 9 regular season games .... as strange as that sounds. It does look like they moved a good number of tickets yesterday with the pre-sale launch.
The timing worked out well as the pre-sale/general sale coincides with the Lions clinching 1st so they now can market the Western Final.
The delicate situation for the Lions is they still have one more regular season game to sell before focusing their all efforts on the WF.
How can you tell they moved any tickets?
The problem with the playoff tickets is that season tickets holders have to buy them again, this not a hocket rink were you only have to sell 18,000
The lions should include playoff tickets in thier season ticket packages and if they do not make it in then they can reimburse you, 3 weeks left to sell 60,000 is almost impossibale.
i say we get if Sask 45,000
calgary 37,000

   The Lions got 37,011 for the Eskimos last week and you think that we'd only manage to duplicate that for a playoff game where the winner goes to the Grey Cup plus the fact there's 3 weeks to hype up this game? You're on crack. We won't draw anything less than 45,000 for either team and even then I still think we'll get over 50 regardless. For the 'Riders, I suspect they'll be 55,000+ in there after all the bad blood.chimpy wrote:How can you tell they moved any tickets?
