In the back of my mind, I always kind of thought Javy winning out over Jamal J for middle LB was partly because of the advantages it brings to the Canadian starter ratio. But Wally has always said nationality / import status has no bearing in that regard. I appreciate and respect what Javy brings to the table. I have tended to think that he is better at pass coverage than run stopping. Also I admit that I am a big fan of Jamal J and that could influence my thinking.
As I said, your points are well made, and I would not debate them.

From what I've seen of Glatt so far, he doesn't "explode" up into the hole to take on an RB head on........this is a talent that all the great MLB's have/had.
