Happy New Year! As the Irish say...in the New Year, may your right hand always be stretched out in friendship but never in want.

Is it just me, or do people get too excited about New Year's Eve?

I normally get semi-excited, however, this year, without my gf by my side, it kinda blew. Not to mention, my best friend and his wife leaving in like 8hrs to Phoenix for Monday's Fiesta Bowl..........

Well, we're here by your side CF4L...although it may blow, may it blow the winds of good fortune and prosperity your way. And may happiness and good will find you all the days of your life no matter who may be standin' beside you at the near of this year...(she says after her fourth glass o' pink champagne)..

I miss the Ice Capades show that used to perform in Vancouver in the first week of January. That used to be the first live event I attended in the new year and I remember the Canucks used to play their first few games of the new year on the road to accommodate the ice capades show at the Pacific Coliseum.
