Great video!!! The shot of him in his office was really hard because they just had a picture of his office...empty, in the paper the other day.

There's a lot of good career advice in those videos.

The one regret I have is that when he returned to the Lions it was clear he was not to be involved in any with the football side of things as that was all Wally Buono. From Wally's perspective - I get it that he'd not want to give up what could be seen as control and quite frankly in his eyes - he could possibly feel demoted and unrewarded given how he was successful on the field.

Notwithstanding that it might have been a wise move for Braley to have Ackles play a larger role with his contacts in the NFL etc and tap into his experience as Director of Personnel for the Cowboys - a resource that it struck me wasn't used by the GM.

I looked at this still from the video, and I thought: Who is that familiar face with Bob Ackles?

Yup. Gotta be. Dick Butkus.

Two of my all time favourites. Dick Butkus and Bobby Ackles. That is a beautiful shot.

The Water Boy. He moved in magic circles in the football world. God Bless.

XFL? Well, not so much.
