I created a member map ..... members can add themselves to a map and it shows were everyone is

Cool! I'm in! How did it know I was from Victoria? I didn't even have to pick it on the map! My IP would be my guess...

Sort of... it knows from your IP who your ISP is and generally what segment of their network you're in. All these things think I'm in Port Coquitlam, even though I'm across the bridge in Pitt Meadows - the segment of Shaw's network that I'm on is listed as being PoCo-centered.

Try it again.... I could see everyone on my desktop pc first time.... the laptop showed no one at first, but I just loaded it up again and everyone appears.

that thing isn't working out as i had hoped .... when you join it you don't stay on it .... darn thing caches itself after a period of time
