This is by far the most exciting and memorable Lions home
division final win - certainly much more exciting and memorable compared to the other Lions home blowout division final wins of 1983, 1985, 2006, and 2011. Perhaps another reason it was so memorable, other than the closeness of the game, was the fact that Lions were so hungry for a home division final win in 19 years since 1985 after the devastating and heartbreaking losses of 1987 and 1999.
And as exciting and memorable win as it was, the hero of the game is certainly NOT someone who will be positively remembered as a Lion - Duncan O'Mahony. And this game may have caused Buono to make the wrong decision as to which QB should have played the Grey Cup a week later. While Dickenson started fairly strong, he became more inconsistent halfway in the 3rd quarter and Printers should have entered the game by that point. It's been debated to death of course, but I'd say 99% of coaches would start the season Most Outstanding Player for the most important game of the season.
