lol There is a poll on bclions.com asking if it should become an Olympic sport. Personally I don?t really think so. I also don?t think baseball, basketball, soccer or ping pong should be either. I do think hockey should be lol, but I think I am a little bias on that one, plus the winter Olympics don?t have many events.
I think that the summer games should be all the classics, like all the Track and Field events, long jump etc. and swimming the events (except synchronized). Plus, not enough countries would be able to compete at football.
Well that?s my two cents? what do you think?
Football in the Olympics?

Not enough countries could field a competitive team. Plus the physical nature of the sport would not allow enough recovery time for the players.

Americans couldn't sport a team of 50+ football guys that were all "clean".
Euros would send Soccer guys...er football....that would be fun.

I'd love you to say it to my face because you'd only say it once...if you ever had the courage to say it at all!! Blitz, 05/24/2008

How about instead just a Best of 7 US vs Canada and the rest can round robin for the bronze.King_Joe wrote:if the argument against football in the Olympics is that not enough countries could field competitive teams i sugest they take a long hard look at women's hockey

ahahahahhahaha so true!i sugest they take a long hard look at women's hockey
I love Yank In BC's idea! That would be so much more exciting. Then if another country gets really good in like 50 years or something, the IOC could consider letting them in on the gold.

I'd rather see box lacrosse in the Olympics.
Although, North Americans, for whatever reason have to excel in sports that aren't big worldwide, like women's hockey, lacrosse and football.
Yet, when it comes to ski jumping, a top 35 finish is considered successfull. Go figure...........
