I'd buy a BC Lions calendar, but only if I could buy it before the new year.

BC Lions or Felions?

Please be more specific as I think it would have a huge difference in the outcome.
Now that I don't live in Quesnel do I need to change my handle??

The Lions held a press conference a few weeks ago regarding their 2005 marketing plans which included a calendar, similar to the Canucks one put out by Shopper's Drug Mart. Likely one of their game day giveaways this season.

And I don't see a problem releasing a calendar at the start of the football season and lasting until the start of the ?06 season ... the exact same thing the Canucks' do when their calendar comes out in October each year.

I'm not sure if it would be a hot seller or not -- people are used to getting free calendars from banks, insurance brokers, real estate agents, etc., and thus may be reluctant to pay for one out of their own pocket. I think the Lions would be better off selling a ton of sponsorship on a calendar and then giving them away for free one night, rather than spending a bunch of money and hoping to recoup it in sales. They might be disappointed.
