Time is running out on the RedBlacks. Too many dropped passes. As the Legend likes to say: We didn't execute or make plays.

31-20 with 1:47 remaining. There won't be a defending champion this year.

Unless I've forgotten something, won't this be the first time a crossover team has won?
31-20 final. Rick Campbell made a critical error with just under 5 minutes left by gambling on third and 5 at the Saskatchewan 22 while trailing by 17 points. A field goal would have made it a 2 possession game. Instead the Redblacks came up short and got nothing. If they had kicked the field goal, they could have been in position to tie the game on the final play from Saskatchewan’s 22 yard line. Instead they trailed by 11 and had no chance.
Edmonton won the East semi in 2008 and 2016. B.C. won in 2009. No crossover team has made it to the Grey Cup, though.Coast Mountain Lion wrote: ↑Sun Nov 12, 2017 12:54 pmUnless I've forgotten something, won't this be the first time a crossover team has won?

I thought Riders would win. I did not think Ottawa was that good this year and not the team that won the Grey Cup. They got lucky with a few games down the stretch like in BC, where they should have lost. Riders far better team and no surprise they won. Yet surprised Glenn had such a great game, but Ottawa as the colour commentator said played way too conservative on defence and did not pressure him enough. Toronto will not make the same mistake.
Eskimos win this afternoon by 10 or more.

Edmonton takes an early 7-0 lead over Winnipeg on an impressive opening drive.

Winnipeg responds by taking the ensuing kickoff and driving the field but had to settle for a field goal to narrow the score to 7-3

Way to go, Kevin Glenn and the Riders.
If the Riders win the Grey Cup, Glenn punches his ticket to the Hall of Fame.

I would be happy to see the Bombers win, although I am a Reilly fan.
