Dan LeFevour is outperforming Andrew Buckley. Winnipeg has scored 17 points off Calgary turnovers and leads 23-0 late in the second quarter.

I don’t know if it’s a lack of motivation or lack of an experienced quarterback. 6 turnovers and 6 sacks surrendered by the Stamps, and the game isn’t over yet.

Bombers win 23-5 and in doing so clinch a home playoff date against either the Riders or the Eskimoes.

Calgary goes into the playoffs having lost 3 straight games to Saskatchewan, Edmonton and Winnipeg. One of those teams will be back for the West Division Final and will have a lot of confidence that the Stamps can be beaten again.

It looked good on Calgary.

It looked good on Winnipeg.

O'Shea and his boys not bothered by the cold weather. "Not cold enough," they say. Cold weather? "We don't care," they say. True.

Messam seemed to be bothered by it. Suitor says don't let the opposition see you don't like the cold.

Watched the Calgary / Winnipeg game . Lot's of sacks given up by the supposedly great Stamps OL . What happened ? Did they suddenly become bad players ? No run game ? Did the coaches forget how to coach over night ? What changed ? Maybe the QB.? Did the play of the QB have anything to do with it ? Does this mean a QB can effect the rest of the Team ? If a QB plays poorly can this ... make an OL look bad ? Or make an Offensive Coordinater look bad ? Was this a shock to anyone here that the Stamps could look that bad ? Not to some , who know a QB can make everyone else look bad , if he's playing poorly . He can invite a ferocious pass rush that makes any OL look bad , or OC for that matter . And kill the running game in the process .
Earlier this season our offence looked great , when Lulay was playing . That changed when JJ10 came back in . Some would not admit that , but it was true . Now that is not to say we should have given up on Jennings , as he has regained his earlier form . But he clearly was a major factor , just like Buckley was last night . This does not mean some of us here are Wally apologists , but some of us don't drink the kook-aid being dispensed here either . It's just that it is more complicated than that and some of us know that .

Way to go, Andrew Harris. 1,000 yards rushing.

Record number of receptions.

Jock Climie made a good point that it's one thing for an experienced QB to come in to the game versus to start as the pressures and situation are different. The conditions weren't great and the Bombers were fired up to play for a HOME playoff date. No matter who played for Calgary, the Bombers were on fire and on a mission last night.

Stamps likely problem with this group. We've locked up first place weeks ago and home WDF and let's not get hurt and banged up as this game is zero impact on us. Or it's as simple as they're saying all the right things that they want to win but collectively and imperceptibly they let down a bit while the Bombers stepped their game up - bigly as Trump would say.

Dickenson told Sarah Orlesky their team is not in the right head space (words to that effect) and the Stamps have to be concerned. I'm a huge Bo Levi Mitchell fan for how he plays and his full commitment to the CFL, etc but TSN had those end of camera shots where he was joking with a team mate but the optics to a TV game watcher might be that they think he can just start the Western Final and all will be well.

Messam was slipping and sliding and I was surprised that he wasn't changing his approach to running and the pass catch situation so he wasn't falling. No adjustments at all seemed to get made meanwhile Harris was having little of those problems. Go figure that out as the rushing title was up for grabs last night and Harris beat out Powell and Messam was still in reach.

When JJ10 came back from injury he was a bit off his game. Wally said this week he will play vs Argos to get that old form and confidence back and Ross won't get a look as a starter.

While TSN commentators were calling for Harris to get out of the game my take was that it might not play well with Harris to have sat him versus get those personal stats and the CFL rushing title where he was able to beat out Powell in the second half. Messam was slipping all night but he could have won it with a big run.
