To score points on the Eskimos, the key is to pass block their very good defensive line well. Their defensive line runs a lot of stunts and twists. Almondo Seewell gets very good penetration and he is a pocket disrupter. He has to be double teamed if he lines up against Fabian.

Odell Willis, their sack leader, has to be chipped if he lines up against Palmer, either with a back or by a receiver.

To beat the Eskimos defense, the key is time to throw. Zone defenses break down if they have to defend for too long. Receivers can find the seams in the zone.
Yes. Time in the pocket is essential. We will soon see if the Lions have quick outlets prepared. Check downs. Rollouts. Or just ''Run the play as designed. It will work if you execute it well.'' We will see the number of pressures, hits and sacks Jennings takes.
Defensively, we need to mix things up on Reilly and not just play straight up zone. Combination man/zone coverages with false reads would pay dividends. We need to pay special attention to Zykstra, who leads the CFL in receiving and is also 2nd in the CFL in yards behind Andrew Harris in yards after catch.

We also can't just drop Sol E and Awe in deep underneath zone coverage because Reilly is 2nd in quarterback rushing in the CFL and he will use his legs to get key first downs.
If we roll out the same DL scheme, with soft zone behind, our hopes are dim.

Without pass rush pressure Reilly can use the whole field. And he can run when the opportunity is there.

The Eskimos will plan to make Solly run sideline to sideline.

No matter our situation, it will be interesting. All the subplots fade to the background, as the guys take the field, and put their pride and bodies on the line.
John Madden's Team Policies: Be on time. Pay attention. Play like hell on game day.

Jimmy Johnson's Game Keys: Protect the ball. Make plays.

Walter Payton's Advice to Kids: Play hard. Play fair. Have fun.

I couldn't agree more WCJ.

I highly doubt we will have much of a different game plan. After all, as Wally said, he would do something different if he thought he was the problem.

I can understand confidence but there is a fine line between arrogance, superiority, and confidence. When you only have 6 wins you try something different.

But I think our players will play well in this game. They can take more chances on defense if they choose to play looser. However, on offence, they are more tied to the scheme and play calls.

It will be interesting if we choose to start Moore over Williams. With Burnham, Manny, and Shaq Johnson all able to threaten defenses deep, a receiver like Moore, who runs excellent routes and can create space, can be a positive addition to our offence.

Those who are expecting a different game plan and strategy is going to be mighty disappointed. Leopards don't change their spots. Expect the same Lions we've been seeing all season. Big plays by the Esks, inability to protect Jennings. I expect the Eskimos to sack Jennings 3 times and Jennings to throw a couple of interceptions.

Lots of energy from the defence and special teams. I hope the offence can match it.

Jennings held the ball for 5 seconds on that sack.

Pathetic blocking and a dumb decision by Rainey.

Reilly is checking down to his backs. Why can’t Jennings do that?

BC Place looks/sounds like a funeral parlor. Fans are so quiet.
