WOW.. Duron Carter to play CB and REC vs Stamps.

In the old days of Jackie Parker, Kenny Ploen, etc - all these guys played two ways.

Jim Young Dirty 30 played both ways.

Bo Levi response on Twitter:
Calgary quarterback Bo Levi Mitchell took to social media to warn Carter that he can expect a lot of action when he's on defence.
"Don't do it Duron.. you'll get 25 balls thrown at you," Mitchell tweeted.
Jovon Johnson stepped up nicely on the fight matter in the interviews! Very impressive.

But the media looked foolish as Bakari Grant made it clear that he 'd answer just football questions. They had none. A must see interview.

The Riders can clinch a playoff spot with a win, but would have to buck a couple of long-standing trends in doing so: It’s been four years since the last time they beat the Stampeders, while Calgary hasn’t lost on home turf in two years (a run of 17 straight home wins).

Stop the presses, however, because Friday’s contest offers an intriguing plot twist: receiver Duron Carter playing on both sides of the ball. Bo Levi Mitchell says he’ll target Carter all night at corner, making the Week 18 opener must-see TV.

Never have the writers and fans disagreed so strongly. They’ll settle their differences on the field, where the Argos and Bombers have lots to play for in a Saturday matinee at BMO.

Ricky Ray and Matt Nichols have been two of the league’s most dependable pivots this season, but can the Blue and Gold overcome the losses of Darvin Adams and Maurice Leggett? A win for the Bombers locks up their first home playoff game since 2011.

EDM at BC

It’s night and day, the difference between home and away, for the BC Lions. Wally Buono’s team is averaging 29.7 points per game at BC Place compared to 22.9 on the road, making Saturday’s must-win matchup a compelling scrap for both sides.

Look out for the the Eskimos, who are back on track after winning consecutive contests following a six-game losing streak. Pay extra attention to Brandon Zylstra, who continues to be the best receiver in the Canadian Football League with 500 yards over his past three games.

HAM at MTL

While Sunday’s game won’t affect the playoff picture, quarterback Darian Durant will be one to watch when the Ticats visit the Als for a Montreal matinee. The 35-year-old has plenty to play for following his two-game absence, including possibly his future as a starting quarterback.

For the Ticats, they’ll have to overcome the recent letdown of being eliminated. That happened following last week’s loss to Calgary, despite a 4-3 run since Labour Day that’s witnessed a drastic turnaround in Tiger Town.

Riders playing very well against the Stampeders.

Dickie's guys taking penalties.

Bridge looking good.

Even Adams looking good.

Chris Jones has obviously built the Riders over, and done it quite well. I was one CFL fan who was kind of enjoying his struggles. But he is looking like the able coach, who has shown in the past, that he knows how to get it done.

Strong running game. Challenging everything.

It’s like Dickenson is not putting much effort into this game on purpose because he knows if the Riders win, Wally’s team will be knocked out of the playoffs.

Duron Carter makes a pick. Then makes an incredible, zigzag run into the end zone.

28-7 Riders.

Heck, might as well let him return a punt.

It is getting close. Almost time for Don Meredith to start singing.

''Turn out the lights. The party is over.''

For the Stampeders in this game, and for the Lions' season.

It is a relief actually. Our season is over. Playoffs out of the equation.

Yep. With three games left, mathematically out. They didn't really deserve to be in and maybe, just maybe, being out, will cause some to reflect on what that feels like. It has been a long time for some of them.

We all know however, that what will be quoted in future is the consecutive playoff appearances. Not the years of early exits, missed opportunities and so on. Maybe that is the way it should be but right now, the wound is raw, the frustration is palpable and desire for change is immense.

That's interesting. It was either on the Riders' site or TSN and now the interviews are gone.

Bakari Grant was surrounded by media and all they asked him about was the fight but it was clear only Jovon Johnson - a Captain - was designated to say anything. He looked disgusted as they had no other questions for him but they repeated the fight questions.

Talk about homer radio. I turned on the Riders radio and they replayed the call of the Duron Carter INT for a TD. Announcer says "shut your mouth" to Bo Levi. Hmmm. Never have I heard a BC Lion announcer that much of a homer.

The challenge by Dave D on the Carter INT was a brutal challenge. It detracts from a great play when the challenges are one hand touch to a REC not in the play like that one was. I get why he did it but it looks bush when it's absolutely nothing.

Riders are really coming together. They're looking to be a force in the playoffs and Carter was fine at boundary CB.

Nice to see Carter catch a TD pass from Bo. They are both talented Prima Donna types but I sorta like Carter a little more. The guy is an entertainer.

Calgary fans should be a little worried. The Stamps appear to have been in a funk recently which does not bode well for the playoffs. Message hasn't looked the same since coming back.
