Hunter Steward on the prowl.

Chip block on his first man. JJ24 runs for TD.

Gotcha. JJ24 cuts inside. TD. And at game speed, we don't see the blocks by Steward. I expect Dan Dorazio sees them at game speed. That is where Dan will be looking.

Rolly seals the end.

Sleeper play. O'Shea made it clear to the officials before the game that the play would be coming, within the rules, and he spoke to the league to verify that the consecutive FG streak would not be at jeopardy. Full credit to O'Shea. Detailed game prep for each opponent and their tendencies, and their vulnerabilities.

I do not think this play was an accident. It looks to me like detailed game prep. Tendency. Nichols runs for a TD.

New player? Umm ... Yes. Exactly.

This is the CFL. Just another barnburner of a game.

I was sitting in section 201 (I usually sit high up in one of the end zones as close to the goal posts as possible to get the best downfield view) and I got in early enough to catch the warm ups. I saw Dorazio doing his o-line pre-game drills.
Of course, WPG was missing a few starters on D, but (echoing WCJ) kudos to how solid the o-line was (compared to the breakdowns in HAM). TL14 had plenty of time to work most of the game.

Just an incredible game. It felt like the Western Semi all over again. I would love to have O'Shea as our coach when the position becomes vacant. Imagine what he could do with all the talent we have here (even though he overreaches sometimes).

No love lost between the two teams. No hand shakes after the ceremonial coin toss. Bomber players jawing at Lion players on the onside.

Nice work Joe on those break downs . Steward at LT is looking like a great move that would not have happened with out the Olfioye trade . On a lot of those nice blocks by Steward it should be noted that David Foucault did a nice job sealing the DTs to the inside , just as important .
Last week it was Foucault that made some key blocks that sprung JJ24 for some big runs . Some like to point the finger when he got beat once for the hit on JJ10 , but that is a very formidable Ticat DL that gave the Esks even more trouble than our OL . Laurent and Coleman are two very good DTs that no OL is going to beat one on one on every play , as the EE OL also found out .
Another good game by Marco Ianuzzui also taking some vicious punishment and hanging on most of the time , a. Far better receiver than some give him credit for .
Good game by Max Forde in a relief role. Good game by Brooks too making some key plays against double teams dropping Harris for a 4 yard loss to start getting the momentum back . And it was Brooks that broke through 2 OL to get in Nichols face , that pressure caused the bad throw that was picked to get us back for the win .
Awesome game for TL again , what to do if that continues when JJ10 comes back ?
