I got emotional a couple times -- ya' know, when these old eyes welled over with pride. Man, it felt poetic somehow for Lulay to get his moment in the sun again. Took me back -- especially with all those Travis--Nick connections tonight. Time warp feeling. But, no, it's here and now! And they had the juice still, but with the wisdom of age.

And speaking of Nick (Moore), wasn't that a golden moment post-game, Bryan Burnham giving him his due? We all love what Burnham does on the field of play, but I've concluded Burnham's got the temperament and character to make for the purrfect teammate. Love the guy, both for what he does, and for who he seems to be.

Absolutely right, Ernie.

Wally has assembled character guys. Burnham is special.

What a catch for the ages, in the endzone.

Lulay  Lots of life in the redhead. Looking as good as ever.

Great camera shot.

Hunter Steward has awesome positioning from athleticism, footwork, strength, balance and technique. OL pass protection good.

TD Lulay to Moore.

I was happy to see Lulay play with such poise and confidence and show total mastery of the offence. That said, it should be noted that the Ticats had given up an average of 443 yards passing in their previous games. They gave up 436 tonight. It was just a normal, awful defensive performance by them.

Still, for the Lions to give up 13 early points off turnovers and come back on the road is an impressive show of character. The Lions still lost the turnover battle 3-2 but won the game handily, thanks to Lulay and some great support from his receivers.

Defensively, the Lions settled down after the first Hamilton drive, when the Ticats exploited B.C. defensive weaknesses with some easy completions and inside running. Once the Lions reverted to a more traditional and conservative defence, they shut the Ticats down in the second and third quarters. Zach Collaros, though, threw for a season-high 361 yards, including threw deep balls to Jalen Saunders, who had 5 catches for 147 yards.

The victories will not get any easier than this one. The Lions can't expect to make this many mistakes against a West Division team and win.

Early in Wally's time here, we had trouble finding top quality Int receivers. Now the cupboard is full. Manny. Burnie. Nick.

Awesome.

Yes, and Chris Williams is due to come off the 6-game injured list in a couple of weeks. Moore is playing well in his spot. Who sits out?

Special teams did an excellent job in limiting the Ti-Cats' returns.

Lulay's performance tonight is a good reminder that any CFL team's aspirations rest on the quality of their backup QB.
Yes, Hamilton is playing like a team that will have a new HC at season's end but to have the luxury of inserting a guy like Travis in the game is priceless. The respect and confidence his colleagues have for him and his understanding of the playbook leaves the team in the highly enviable position of believing they won't skip a beat.
As a fan, it was great to see a stand up guy like Travis have such a memorable game.

Any other night, Moore is the star of the game.

If Buono so chooses, Moore can still remain on the active roster. They were discussing this in the post-game.

Whoa, full range of emotions from watching that game. Horror at seeing JJ10 gone on his first play from scrimmage, then seeing TL14 favoring his hand a few minutes later. Fortunately, the HAM defensive attack fizzled out later and it became a statement game--When you are playing the worst team in the CFL, you take advantage of it.

Ty Long made Wally's decision look good. He did everything asked of him--I'm glad Wally showed the confidence to send him out there for a 50 yd FG.

Now we have to wait until the Lions are back home before confirmation that it's (hopefully as they said initially) a "bruised throwing shoulder" on JJ10.
