Although official "locker clean out" isn't until Tuesday morning myself and the BCLions.com crew got a head start talking to some guys at the facility Monday.
By the time we boarded the post-game flight, the mood was a bit better and reality had set in: It was a successful season, but no doubt still work to be done to make the next step. Of note, both running backs say they want to re-sign and continue the platoon which helped the Lions lead the entire CFL in rushing. I can't say enough good things about Jeremiah and Anthony. True professionals who put the team first and ego a distant second. Link to story below, as well as videos with both running backs and Ryan Phillips who indicated he'd like to be back for a 13th season. He made one thing clear: he has no desire to play anywhere else.

Thanks, Matt. I had already linked to your post in the 2016 season review and 2016/17 offseason thread. I appreciate your good work on the Lions website this year. Your articles are informative and help fill in the gaps for those of us who don't use sound on our computers and thus can't understand uncaptioned videos of players and coaches talking after practice.

Appreciate the support all season! Stay tuned as we have plenty of offseason content in the works, and if all goes according to plan, will keep us very busy through the offseason!B.C.FAN wrote:Thanks, Matt. I echo B.C.Fan's sentiment. You did an exceptional job bringing the "behind the scene" happenings on the BC Lions. Now, can you straighten out the so called marketing department ?
