It seems a sort of 'pigskin poetry' has been created, thanks to you fellows -- i.e. Blitz and David!
"Ride and decide
huck and chuck
read and speed
scheme and dream."
Love it! Made my day! Dream (and scheme) on!

Thanks GridIron Ernie...you just made mine!

Its autumn and our Leos are on a late season slide
Is this the time to unveil the 'ride and decide'?
Can we read and then use our speed
No question we'll need a coach to take this lead

We've had success with the the ol 'huck and catch"
Even with double coverage its hard to match
But its also led our Leos to great loss and pain
Can we adjust and proceed to win this game?

In late autumn football is played In the cold
And winning favors the smart and the bold (I'm told)
Scents of apples, cinnamon and pumpkin fill the air
While gridiron players hit hard and play with flare

On the gridiron there is no "one best way"
Just exploit their weakness is what I say
Add diversity to our offensive scheme
And a Grey Cup victory can still be our dream.

Happy GridIronErnie Day!

The last tine we played Edmonton was the first start for Sinkfield. He dropped the first pass thrown to him and ended up with 0 receptions for 0 yds. (obviously)

Sinkfield has become more integral to our offence. In our last game against Edmonton, Sinkfield had 3 catches for 96 yds. and was our leading receiver in that game. If Edmonton overplays Manny and Burnham, Sinkfield could be a difference maker.

Sinkfield is also now on our kick return unit. He hasnt' returned a kickoff yet but may get a chance to show his stuff today. Sinkfield also had a 21 yard run against Winnipeg on a jet sweep and may also get another opportunity to run that play against Edmonton.

On defense, with Westerman out, we'll dress both Brooks and Bryant Turner Jr. and use Menard inside in the rotation. Forde will go back outside to defensive end to back up Craig Roh. Both Menard and Forde can play outside and inside. Menard will likely get more reps in this game than usual. I really like Menard as a player. He has a motor.

Already there's a melee on the field between the 2 teams during the player introductions

That play is wide open tonight and can be exploited, with play action as well!

Too bad the Lions tried a QB draw against the blitz. The middle of the secondary was wide open.
