BMO field looks great on TV. The field looks pristine and no ads is a plus although that might change. The intimate atmosphere makes it look so good on TV. The endzones remind me of Empire field. The fans are literally just a yard away from the endzone.

Good for the Argos. Good for the CFL.

Hamilton spoiled the home opening at BMO field with a 42-20 victory. Jeremiah Masoli was impressive.

Kent Austin has the TiCats purring, even without Collaros.

Surprised at just how confident the TiCats looked with Masoli at the helm. The TiCats played with a fire in their gut, particularly Simoni Lawrence...the next defensive player to win an MOP? The Argos looked lost at times; I think their performance and in particular, Ray's, speaks to how little time is available to get ready for the regular season. You have to max it as much as possible....

The Argos defense was not particularly good; the Stubler-style defense of bend, don't break is not so hot when you are playing from behind by a distance. They needed quick stops and way more pressure on the QB. I was surprised with the addition of Hall and Hickman that the Argos didn't win more of the one-on-one battles.

BMO is a HUGE improvement over the cavernous Rogers Centre....much more interesting to watch on tv. I can only imagine how much better it is in person. Hope the good vibe continues on and next game the Argos regroup to win. The league needs this positive transition in TO to work and not lose steam.

same for all teams. I think the pressure of the "big" game at BMO with the media making such a big deal about it and all the rest that went along with it was a factor. I also think the ticats are just a better team

love the "revenge" TD by owens. :beauty:
Every day that passes is one you can't get back

TSN sure didn't stop showing good looking young women having a good time at the game. Maybe they were paid to be there, but it was sure smart marketing.

That's the TSN Thursday NIght Football branding introduced last year. The cameras focus between plays on millennials having fun in the stands.

Easy TD by Ottawa in OT. Receiver wide open. 2-point conversion made. Redblacks lead 45-37. Eskimos must match.

Eskimos give up the ball on downs. Ottawa Redblacks win 45-37 in OT - small revenge from the Grey Cup last year.

And for the first time in nearly 36 years, an Ottawa-based football team won a game in Edmonton.

A better guy than Mike Benevides you will not find. But his Eskimos gave up 45 points vs the RedBlacks.

Our guy, Mark Washington, seems to have upped his game considerably this year. Blitzing. Well designed and executed. Great morale. They know their roles.
