My new story on Stephen Adeokolu's offseason and how he hopes to parlay a solid year on special teams into a role with the receiving corps.

Also some neat off field hobbies he has! Link below.

Sounds like an interesting guy, I would like to meet him. Hopefully he will be amongst the players who are part of the season ticket holder meet and greet the Lions usually stage. Maybe the next Carl Weathers?

Great read, Matt. Adekolu seems to have a great head on his shoulders and has done everything right on and off the field to learn the pro game and contribute on special teams.
With the offseason departures of Andrew Harris and Austin Collie, there appears to be room for at least one new Canadian starter on offence. Adekolu hopes an offseason of intense training will go a long way in securing a spot on the receiving corps when camp breaks June 16th.

Along with sessions from strength and conditioning coach Chris Boyko, Adekolu has spent time in Ontario working out with fellow CFL pass catchers Chad Owens, Andre Durie and Shamawd Chambers.
Don't overlook the fact that Adekolu has great hands. I would expect him to compete with Marco Iannuzzi for the fifth receiver spot.

Interestingly, BMac and Donnie had Austin Collie on their show on Tuesday. Said that the desire to get better had left him, and wasn't looking forward to practice or games anymore. Lost the hunger that he had when he was younger.

Said he's looking forward to watching Jennings, adding that Lavelle Hawkins showed just a sliver of what he's capable of and is in for a big year and should have a great connection with Jennings.
