We were able to spend some time with Cam Wake prior to yesterday's Orange Helmet Awards. Such a classy guy who has not forgotten what it was like to wear the orange. Below are links to an article I wrote after our sit down, and there is also a video link to our Ask A Lion segment with him. Enjoy!

Great guy. Tremendous player.
John Madden's Team Policies: Be on time. Pay attention. Play like hell on game day.
Jimmy Johnson's Game Keys: Protect the ball. Make plays.
Walter Payton's Advice to Kids: Play hard. Play fair. Have fun.

Yup. Classy individual and a hell of a football player.
While it would be highly unusual to honour a player at halftime who played all of 2 seasons in a Lions uniform, I think he still has a special relationship with Lions fans. It would be nice to see him back at BC Place (July?) and give us the chance to say 'thanks.' A really great ambassador for the team/league.
