Expect the retirement of Dean Valli to be announced soon as well.BCLions.com Staff
The BC Lions announced today that five members of the club’s 2015 practice roster will return in 2016.
International receiver Terence Jeffers-Harris as well as Canadian defensive lineman Maxx Forde and offensive lineman Campbell Allison signed extensions through the 2017 season, while international kicker Anthony Fera and international defensive back Darious Lane will also return in 2016.
Jeffers-Harris made his Lions debut in the final game of the regular season recording three receptions for 78 yards while both Forde and Allison spent the year on the practice roster after being drafted by the Leos this past spring.
Fera also made his pro debut in the final regular season game of 2015 making two of his four field goal attempts and averaging 49.5 yards on his six punts. Lane made first Lions start in week 10 versus Ottawa and appeared in two other contests recording four special teams stops on the year.
The Lions also announced that quarterback John Beck has informed the club of his intention to retire. The former BYU stand-out dressed for 11 games in 2015 with two starts. He suffered a season-ending injury versus the Calgary Stampeders on September 18.

I am hoping that Cortez and McMann also announce their retirement soon as well.

No! Fire them! They don't deserve the dignity of leaving on their own terms after that garbage they put out this season!
Oh well, one can dream...

For what it's worth, I read that the Lions have released WR Geraldo Boldewijn and QB RJ Archer for the purposes of them finding NFL employment. Not sure if that means we retain their rights or what the arrangement is, but that's what has transpired since the end of the of the year.

The news I'm waiting to hear is the future of Tedford and his coaching staff namely Washington, Cortez and McMann
Interesting. My understanding is that unless they were on the active roster or an injured list at the end of the season, practice roster players are all free agents able to pursue any employment for next year. That's why the signing of the five PR players to new contracts was necessary. The only QBs remaining on the roster are Jennings, Lulay and McGhee.David wrote:For what it's worth, I read that the Lions have released WR Geraldo Boldewijn and QB RJ Archer for the purposes of them finding NFL employment.
