The BC Lions Football Club is pleased to announce that Andrew Harris, Adam Bighill, Ryan Phillips, Emmanuel Arceneaux, Jovan Olafioye, Bo Lokombo, Mic’hael Brooks and Richie Leone have been selected as CFL West Division All-Stars for 2015.
All-Star breakdown by team:
BC and Calgary 8
Edmonton 7
Sask 2
Winnipeg 2

More all-stars than wins. Wow, not bad for a 7-11 team.

They're all deserving, although having two special-teams all-stars is a bit odd when special teams have been a big reason for the Lions' poor record. The Lions have the talent to play with anyone. They just need to execute more consistently.

Not really. One word. "Coaching."

Mcmann will be gone at end of season. Then the special teams might become special once again.

Of all the selections I'm happiest that Lokombo was chosen. Our special teams were not very special this season and the result is that Lokombo's play, in leading the CFL in downfield tackles went under the radar.

Lokombo's play on special teams and his play as a rotational linebacker are worthy of being considered a starter next season on defense. I realize that we are loaded at that position but Lokombo is a National to boot and could positively impact the ratio.

Jason Aragki is also worthy of mention in that he finished fifth in the CFL in downfield tackles and he has always been right up there in this category each season. Parker was third on our Leos in special team tackles.
"When I went to Catholic high school in Philadelphia, we just had one coach for football and basketball. He took all of us who turned out and had us run through a forest. The ones who ran into the trees were on the football team". (George Raveling)
