Caravatta: K Austin deserves a lot of credit for changing the team culture in Hamilton and assembling a team that has not just persevered but thrived through injuries and stadium issues (Alumni and Joyce and delays moving back to THF).

Over at last. Make the final 52-22.
Sports can be a peculiar thing. When partaking in fiction, like a book or movie, we adopt a "Willing Suspension of Disbelief" for enjoyment's sake. There's a similar force at work in sports: "Willing Suspension of Rationality". If you doubt this, listen to any conversation between rival team fans. You even see it among fans of the same team. Fans argue over who's the better QB or goalie, and selectively cite stats that support their views while ignoring those that don't.

It's just not talented enough. End of story.

DH
Indeed, David. Worst part of such a singular loss like this, it breeds more indifference than frustration from the marketplace.

It was over at the Anthem declares TSN for the turning point of the game.

Tedford: We didn't play well in any phase of the game. They won fair and square. We play again on Thursday and have to move on. No positives to come from this game except how we respond next week. A sound beating.

Moj: Burnsie was ready to start the post-game show at 6:30. Leaders didn't make plays and it trickled down from there.

Guilio to HC do u hide the film? WTF... NO YOU DO NOT HIDE THE FILM..

Show the film and the quit at the end pictures from the TSN of the quitters on the bench while the game is on.

Players need to rally at the end and encourage guys still having to play. I'd be at my bench ripping those sitters. There is a time to rip your team (not often, maybe 2x a year IF needed and quitting is when u do that.

Three things to fix:

1. Coaching - in all phases.
2. Team Leadership - it is thinnest in the CfL
3. Character and fight... it's all about me, me me

This is a BC Lions and CFL fan site so you need to need to find an NFL/Seahawks site where you won't be out of line.

Dupsdell .. You might not like how the Lions performed tonight but that was one terrifically played game by the Hamilton Ticats.

You prob heard this yourself Toppy but there was a caller on the 1040 postgame show who went off on pretty much the same tirade we've been hearing from this person and even mentioned the Seahawks. Might even be the same person, wouldn't be surprised. Burns gave basically the same answer, Ham was full value FTW.

If you're not here to talk about the Lions or the CFL then hit the bricks. Who gives a *frig* about the Seahawks? You probably weren't even a fan of them for the longest time while they were performing worse in the NFL than the Lions are this year.

Anyway,

Terrible game tonight. The only positive was Leone's punting, and he hit a 50+ yard field goal. Everything else was terrible. We were outplayed, outcoached, out everything in every facet of the game.

The worst of all this for me is that I put a new Lions decal on the back window of my vehicle on Saturday prior to the game. I'm now fighting the urge to peel it off before I drive around in public again. :sigh:
