Partridge made a bad decision and a bad throw for an INT. Leonard was wide open over the middle for the first down.

Rintoul & Caravatta brought up the no yards rule change a few plays back when the Lions were called for it. I hadn't thought of this before, but what happens in a no yards situation if the returner scores a TD anyway? Is the yardage applied on the ensuing kickoff or is the penalty simply disregarded, as was previously the case?
Sports can be a peculiar thing. When partaking in fiction, like a book or movie, we adopt a "Willing Suspension of Disbelief" for enjoyment's sake. There's a similar force at work in sports: "Willing Suspension of Rationality". If you doubt this, listen to any conversation between rival team fans. You even see it among fans of the same team. Fans argue over who's the better QB or goalie, and selectively cite stats that support their views while ignoring those that don't.

This game has gone from decent (1st quarter) to mediocre (2nd quarter) to bad (3rd quarter) to worse (4th quarter) for BC.
