Apparently Benevides pulled himself out of all coaching opportunities for 2015, electing to stay closer to home and family. Roughriders have signed Greg Quick, most recently Montreal linebacker coach.

These coaches do talk to each other:
Chamblin and Quick share an aggressive philosophy when it comes to defence. That was another attribute that helped Quick land the job.

"I want our defence to be consistent, which means we will be aggressive on every snap," Quick said. "It doesn't matter if we're rushing three or bringing six, we will be aggressive."

Chamblin said Quick was recommended by Noel Thorpe (Montreal's defensive co-ordinator) and Orlando Steinauer (the Hamilton Tiger-Cats' defensive co-ordinator).

"Both of those guys run aggressive defences," Chamblin said.

"When I told them what I was looking for, they said that (Quick) was exactly what I just said."
