Bouno says once he has a better understanding of his salary cap, he will then try and sign receiver Manny Arceneaux to an extension.
Buono tried to sign Arceneaux in training camp but they couldn't agree on a contract structure.

AFter last game that probably worked out in Arceneaux's favour not having a new contract in place yet.Shi Zi Mi wrote:News1130 Sports @News1130Sports 58m

Sports can be a peculiar thing. When partaking in fiction, like a book or movie, we adopt a "Willing Suspension of Disbelief" for enjoyment's sake. There's a similar force at work in sports: "Willing Suspension of Rationality". If you doubt this, listen to any conversation between rival team fans. You even see it among fans of the same team. Fans argue over who's the better QB or goalie, and selectively cite stats that support their views while ignoring those that don't.
I didn't think anything would come of that, of course why would he do something to violate that release. That doesn't help his case if/when that concludes.Shi Zi Mi wrote:CFLDaily @CFLDaily 12m

What condition did he violate ?
Pure speculation on my part, but the breach of condition may have been that he was found on the premises of the nightclub, outside of which the alleged incident occurred. The judge may have banned him from said club at the preliminary hearing.

Pretty much, except he was banned from entering not just the place where his troubles began but any bar:David wrote:Pure speculation on my part, but the breach of condition may have been that he was found on the premises of the nightclub, outside of which the alleged incident occurred. Nothing good ever happens at 2am.
This occurred on their Ottawa road trip last weekend — oddly, on the same night of (a few hours after) the game — so presumably the Riders weren't scheduled to fly back home until the next day. I would have thought returning the same night, right after the game, is the norm.

The Ruff Riders are spending the week on the road and practicing in Gatineau (Hull was way easier to spell) before heading to Willypeg to play da bombers tomorrow.sj-roc wrote:Pretty much, except he was banned from entering not just the place where his troubles began but any bar:David wrote:Pure speculation on my part, but the breach of condition may have been that he was found on the premises of the nightclub, outside of which the alleged incident occurred. Ok well that makes more sense. Going back to Ssk means they would have had one less day of practice in what was a short (Sat->Thu) week.DanoT wrote:The Ruff Riders are spending the week on the road and practicing in Gatineau (Hull was way easier to spell) before heading to Willypeg to play da bombers tomorrow.

Some interesting tidbits from News1130 (although I would expect Benevides to try and keep the Argos guessing about the starting quarterback. However, I highly doubt Lulay's going to start against Toronto Sunday, unless Glenn is really bothered by the thigh contusion). Bo would be a nice addition.

#BCLions coach Mike Benevides tells me, "there is a chance that Travis Lulay could start Sunday vs Argos".
The #BCLions made receiver Manny Arceneaux an offer to extend his contract this past weekend.
Hearing that offer to Manny not good enough, he's a ufa after this season. #BCLions
The #BCLions are getting closer to landing draft pick & Abby native Boseko Lokombo who has been cleared for contact after shoulder injury.
Wally Buono has been in contact with Lokombo's agent &the #BCLions gm says Lokombo is warming up to the idea of joining his hometown team.
