Guys,
Just wanted to let you know there's a live chat CLICK HERE with the Province's LU today at 1:00pm PST.
In addition to being very informative and providing us the platform to exchange 'real time' thoughts/ideas with other Lions fans (and the club's beat writer of course), it's a gauge of sorts for the newspaper to measure interest in the Lions. I encourage you all to log on!

Live Chat With Lowell Ullrich today (Friday 10/10) at 1:00pm
Moderator: Team Captains
One interesting tidbit from the chat was that LU said he was told told the Lions have shopped no fewer than 10 players. Iannuzzi was the only name he mentioned, as he had mentioned him in the Friday paper. LU says Iannuzzi is not really hurt.
I doubt he is going anywhere right now either.B.C.FAN wrote:One interesting tidbit from the chat was that LU said he was told told the Lions have shopped no fewer than 10 players. Iannuzzi and LaRose are heavily involved in community relations and public appearances for their own causes, and serve as goodwill ambassadors for the Lions. I can't see the club cutting ties with either player this year unless the circumstances appeal to the player. In Iannuzzi's case, though, there are a lot of promising options to fill his roster spot. LaRose, on the other hand, is still clearly No. 1 at his position, if only by default.

What is the answer to that puzzle? Iannuzzi not really hurt. Fallout from the CBA ordeal?B.C.FAN wrote:One interesting tidbit from the chat was that LU said he was told told the Lions have shopped no fewer than 10 players. I think the reality that others have stepped up and shown promise is the factor and I suspect Ianuzzi is a well paid Canadian who got hurt a bit last year.WestCoastJoe wrote:What is the answer to that puzzle? CBA is nothing or McCallum would be toast..... Lions kept that issue separate from the players and in Kamloops McCallum and was it Skulsky were both at the same events - no problems.
I think in Marco's case nothing in the community will save him as a starter when new comers come out and make it exciting and it appears his kick return skills can be replaced as well.
He made it clear in the draft he'd not move to Ottawa and that did not go down well with OTT GM and would be a reason for any other GM to not want to bite on that one. Also who needs more Canadians now?

In his case the other job stands to be much more financially beneficial. Most players are football players who moonlight at other jobs. Marco for all intents is an investment advisor who moonlights as a football player.David wrote:Yea, Marco has the ultimate No Trade clause. It's called a house, a family, and another job.
