Imagine if those included INT yardage, he would be on top. I guess that is the main issue with Glenn this season, he would rather throw the ball away than get hit, and he isn't fast enough on his feet to get away from DT's.

True. His TD/Int ratio is bad--9/11--and this has really lowered his overall QB rating--to 82.7 (vs. 100.5 last season with the Stampeders). Actually, no CFL quarterback has really been lighting it up so far this season, and Glenn isn't that far down in the ratings. And I'm very grateful to Wally for getting Glenn for us, as our record at this point in the season would be much worse, I think, if we'd had to depend on Beck/Partridge in Lulay's absence. I think that Glenn's game will get stronger as the season progresses, and the interceptions will drop. At this point, I feel much more confident with him at the helm than I would if Lulay were moved back to starting and full-game status.

TORONTO -- The Canadian Football League announced today that it has fined Edmonton Eskimo head coach Chris Jones $5,000 for disregarding pre-game timing protocol during their last three road games. This led to their players entering the field of play late which disrupted pre-game timing and operations.
Sports can be a peculiar thing. When partaking in fiction, like a book or movie, we adopt a "Willing Suspension of Disbelief" for enjoyment's sake. There's a similar force at work in sports: "Willing Suspension of Rationality". If you doubt this, listen to any conversation between rival team fans. You even see it among fans of the same team. Fans argue over who's the better QB or goalie, and selectively cite stats that support their views while ignoring those that don't.

Seems to me to be a deliberate attempt to disrupt the game. Once I can understand, but 3 times and all on the road ? Coincidence, I think not.

C'mon, Jones. Follow the protocols. An attempt to psyche out the opponents? Does Jones think he is Cool Hand Luke? LOL

Montreal leading Winnipeg 6-1 at the half. Alex Brink totally ineffective and was replaced by Jonathan Crompton.

Als will do us a HUGE favour if they can hang onto this lead through the final gun. A Wpg loss gives us a chance to leap all the way to third over both them and Ssk if we beat the latter on Sun.

Dare I dream of Cgy and Edm losses and a chance to pull even in wins with them both?

Wow... got waaaaaaaayyyyyy ahead of myself... Wpg blocks a Sean Whyte punt deep in Mtl's end and it goes for a major and a Wpg lead.

Winnipeg blocked punt gives them a 8-6 lead. They had a chance to increase the lead but a short field goal hit the post matching the one by Whyte earlier in the game.

Als lost their 6th straight 24-16. Two very questionable decisions by Tom Higgins. Gambled on 3rd and 2 early in the game and lost. Should have challenge what appear to be a rather obvious interference but didn't.

This pushes the western edge over eastern opponents to 21-3 and with 40 such games to be played for the season, clinches the interdivision crown for the west. Like it wasn't already a done deal since.... um, training camp?

Some interesting changes to the Lions' roster and depth chart for this game.

As expected, Dante Marsh returns from the injured list to reclaim his boundary corner spot, with Ronnie Yell returning to the field corner. T.J. Lee remains on the roster as the sixth DB, although he's listed as a corner and not a backup nickel. John Hardy-Tuliau, who was the sixth DB/backup nickel last week, moves back to the practice roster.

On offence, Andrew Harris, who was scratched from the game-day roster last week, reclaims his starting position. The only roster change is the addition of Cody Husband as backup guard in place of T-Dre Player, who moves to the one-game injured list.

It looks like we suit up 6 DL. This has become our practice. For a couple of years we tried to go with just 5. :dizzy: Most physically demanding position on the team IMO. The guys must be fresh.

Ramsey back on the 46. It seems we still have high hopes for him.

And Cody Husband makes the 46, and probably suits up, along with Cam Thorn, as backup OL.

WR still has Iannuzzi, then Poblah, then Haidara. At some point, one might expect the Lions to give up on Poblah, as did the Bombers. But there is that athletic talent and size. Meantime, Haidara never gets to catch a pass.

Interesting how Lochard keeps a spot on the 46. I would love to see this guy run. He is more a running back type, than blocking back fullback. So I would expect he shows some promise carrying the ball.

And interesting about Antwi. ST specialist.

Brown no doubt gets to suit up. Nice to see information about Larry Crawford recently. Former DB and KR specialist. Also the all time interception record holder for the Lions.

Sorry about the small size of the snapshot of the depth chart. Had to re-size it twice, downwards, to get the page to accept the pic.
