For just $99 you get:
4 seats in the Knothole Section
4 hot dogs
4 soft drinks
Call 448-ESKS

(I assume the Lions do something similar)
I guess the family area in the upper deck around Section 446 is the closest thing to this offer, where tix are $30/each all-in, so $120 for four people. Not sure off-hand if any refreshments are included. Pricing is the same in the gemstone gridiron deck around Sec 436.
Sports can be a peculiar thing. When partaking in fiction, like a book or movie, we adopt a "Willing Suspension of Disbelief" for enjoyment's sake. There's a similar force at work in sports: "Willing Suspension of Rationality". If you doubt this, listen to any conversation between rival team fans. You even see it among fans of the same team. Fans argue over who's the better QB or goalie, and selectively cite stats that support their views while ignoring those that don't.

Just listing to 1040 Skulski made an announcement that there is a rider rally apparently in Vancouver has not gone to well with Skulski and Wally, say they are guarantee win night on sunday , if the lions lose all fans in building will get a free ticket to any regular season game, ( not including playoffs or grey cup ) I find this a very cheap marketing tactic.

Can you try that again using normal punctuation so we can understand what you're saying? It seems that you're saying that Skulsky and Wally are guaranteeing a Lions win, and, if they lose, all the fans will receive free tickets to another game. But somehow this doesn't seem likely....

Seems like it will be very costly for the team if they lose. I don't know what to think about this.

It's true.

Gotta give them credit for trying something to make a splash.
Lions Guarantee Win vs Saskatchewan
Lions president Dennis Skulsky laying down the gauntlet
Posted on 8/21/2014 2:05:00 PM by Iain McLetchie

The BC Lions are a tad miffed that Saskatchewan Roughrider fans have bought billboard space at BC Place stadium ahead of Sunday's game, and that dismay has led Lions President Dennis Skulsky to make a bold prediction.

"As an organization, I have so much confidence in our players, our coaches, and our team, that we're guaranteeing win night on Sunday afternoon at BC Place," Skulsky told TEAM1040. "If we don't win, then we're going to buy you a ticket to come back to one of our next four games. It's a bold statement, and I make it confidently. We have a message to deliver. This is our backyard. This is the home of the BC Lions. And let's get it on. Let's get it on. The Orange will be alive and well. The roar factor will matter on Sunday, so we're going to go get a win. And we're guaranteeing that."

The Riders fans also have a pregame rally planned at the Commodore Ballroom, with 500 Roughriders fans expected to show up.

It's a big Western Division tilt, as the Lions have won five of six to move to enter the game with a 5-3 record, while Saskatchewan is 5-2. BC beat the Roughriders 26-13 in week three.

It's a 4:00 kickoff Sunday afternoon on TEAM1040

This is a foolish move by Skulski. It makes the Lions look amateurish. I'd expect this kind of move from the Riders, not the Lions.

I agree this makes them look desperate, something they would have done in the mid 90's , Ackles must be rolling around in his grave.

Nah I'm all for it.
Lions are comfortably making money as is so why not amp up the hype level to create some needed buzz to get more fans in the seats and build momentum heading into the fall portion of the schedule.

Will be interesting now to see ticket sales over the next 72 hours.

Holy Moses. This could cost the team some money.... And I thought all along that it was just prima donna wide receivers (and the occasional quarterback) that guaranteed wins!

The Gliebermans must be blushing.

Sekeres: "So everybody who buys a ticket for Sunday, has their ticket, if the Lions lose, you're sending them to one of your next four games... "

Skulsky: "Their choice of any one of the four next games... "

Sekeres: "... same ticket, or a similar ticket?"

Skulsky: "Same category ticket."

Sekeres: "Same category ticket."

Skulsky: "Yeah."

Sekeres: "What of the Riders fans, Dennis? Do you want some of those people coming back for a game?

Skulsky: "That's okay, they may become orange fans by the time we're done with them. In fact I wouldn't doubt that."

Of course nobody phoned in , the Riders poll is calling this a joke , actually one guy said the lions should be giving out 2 for 1 voucher if they win not if they lose. I do remember back in 85 when the lions were playing Hamilton on a hot summer night tickets not selling that good and ackles did the same kind of promotion that if the lions win by a cetin amount of points everybody get a voucher for free chicken from somewhere. did not work, lions at that time only had 32,000 at the game ( back then that was a very small crowed)

This tactic by Skulsky indicates to me that ticket sales are below expectations. As a season ticket holder I don't want any more tickets to the Lions' remaining games, how about an equivalent discount for next year's tickets ?
