You're always free to post elsewhere if you don't like people expressing their opinions. I know another place where you're not allowed to criticize the team-I've heard it's pretty fun there, but I wouldn't know for sure! ;)

But that is exactly what HB 14 did; expressed an opinion. Does he get to say the same thing you did to those that don't agree with him?

Ok, twice now this morning someone here says something and it's met with a response mentioning "another place." Are we not allowed to mention this other place? What other place are we talking about? If you wouldn't know about this other place, why does it keep getting mentioned? The people seen as associating with this other place actually spend their message board time in this place. I think you might be thinking of bclionsden.ca (gasp), but it doesn't appear to be a message board, so I don't know what the fuss is about. And once again, I don't know anyone personally here or at the other place. To quote someone here, "I'm just sayin."

This really sucks! I'm a huge Printers fan ever since he started playing for the Lions. This is the biggest disappointment I've had in the CFL in quite awhile.

Sigh....I knew THAT was coming! Of course he is, but is it really wise to insult the membership of a place where you wish to continue post? We are permitted to criticize the coaching, the players, and whatever else we wish to. It's a discussion board. He's constantly riding the people who express criticism of the coaching. It's tiresome. If he doesn't like what we have to say, he can just not read it. I may just have to add to my "ignore" list ;) It's getting kinda long though. :dizzy:

I'm getting so tired of my own crankiness that I might put myself on ignore. Mrs. Tighthead recommends it for day to day sanity.

Maybe he finds constantly riding the coaching, the players, and whatever else you wish to tiresome as well? The elephant in the room is the fact that we're not supposed to acknowledge the obvious fact: with regards to coaching there are two camps on this site. If you really want harmony stop telling us to go to the "the other site."

We don't all actually think coaching is all that terrific all the time, but we just don't actually believe the armchair coaches should actually run a pro team.

There is a blatantly obvious posting patten on this site - can we not address it? I've seen far for disrespect in this regard to Lions staff than to other posters.

You're right...it's a discussion board. However, when you tell those who have different viewpoints than your own to "go some place else" or threaten to ignore them, it sounds like you aren't interested in discussion.

OK but when you express an opinion, and someone's reaction is ALWAYS "you're not allowed to feel that way or express that opinion", how else should I react? I do respect everyone's right to their opinion, and will always do so. All I was saying is that if someone doesn't like the opinions that are expressed, and always has issues with certain opinions that are expressed, perhaps they should not be reading them or replying to them. I will continue to observe and comment on this team, others will disagree with those comments and observations. That's cool. What's not cool is making fun of the membership here because of their observations and opinions.

Should a site moderator really have a long ignore list? You can't moderate what you can't see.

I frankly don't care what others say on this or any other sites, but Chapdelaine has to go. :tease:

I banned myself a month ago. I'm still lost, and can't get the Admin to bring me back to life, so I know what you mean.

I mean..I really, really have to go. Badly. Bushes hell, just beam me into the real world long enough to evacuate, and I can die happy.

Seriously, all views are welcome here, not just pro and anti players and team comments. mightubuck posts here and has taken a lot, just as Hawkballer14 does on the Lions side of things. Both have unique points of view, and are equally welcome and equally valid.

Remember D's rules, however: attack the post, but not the poster.

I've been dead inside for a long, long time too bro

And I too have taken a lot of crap for my opinions of a certain quarterback wearing a certain number greater than 6 but less than 8. It's all part of the discussion though and I agree, attack the post with logic and not the poster and it's all good!

Aaanyways, are there any further updates on Casey? I was watching the Als/Argos game and they did a small tidbit on the Lions and Casey looked alright. Said he felt good and he was jumping from side to side.

You have several options. You could accept that that is their opinion and shrug it off. You could provide a thoughtful and logical rebuttal. But it's really not cool to react the way you did, as it seems to suggest that you have a double standard that your opinions are somehow more worthy of being posted than those who disagree with you. Now can't everyone just get along?
