I was flipping the dial from the 1040 post game to 980 when I happened onto his post-game analysis from BC Place.

That was a treat to listen to!!! His analysis was impressive and if you can get it from the CKNW audio vault do so. It was very detailed and insightful both to the overall game and the keys to the games. He picked up on missed assignments by the Lions tackles, the challenge to a young Jay Pottinger and did this all in a positive manner which is what you want from a broadcaster.

This guy has an impressive football mind and knowledge that ranks with the best of the colour guys who know and have played the game. Team 1040 should hire this guy!!!

Kudos to you, Jim.

Yep, Jim has paid his dues learning more about the grass roots of the game of football, which translates easily to the professional game. Having the knowledge of many of the NI's in the league due to his coverage of CIS ball, helps with quick comments on certain players as well. He will find his spot eventually within the Lions coverage, it just has to happen.

Thank you Toppy for turning me on to Jim's insightful analysis.

I listened to whole segment and I thought Jim was dead on the money with Jimenez being able to be turned outside and taken to the cleaners inside and this is indeed what happened on the DD concussion by Perry. This has got to be rectified and for good.

He was absolutely right about BP feeling overly safe in LION82, and the clutch receiver's ability to be there and counted on when it's all riding on the line.

He was right about Jason Mass and Chang and it was pretty evident that Jim Mullin does his homework, and is a total professional with feeling at home in his own skin.

I know that D and Rammer and OS99 have been some of his greatest of his proponents, and thanks to you I now know that he is more than our resident web log enthusiast but much more than this.

It's as Phil say “He will find his spot eventually within the Lions coverage, it just has to happen".
