Glad to see Buratto doing well in Toronto. He has been bounced around over and over in this league as Head Coach, O Coordinator, D Coordinator, O Line coach: Calgary, BC, Calgary, Saskatchewan, and Toronto. And he never whined or blamed anybody else.

He doesn't seem to be the kind of guy who sucks up to the powers in an organization. He hasn't had it easy anywhere.

After college he had a tryout with the Green Bay Packers of Vince Lombardi. He ended up near death in hospital with a non-football condition. His wife now needs a lot of care after a major car accident. He left coaching for a while to work with his brother in Idaho in the industrial paint business until he got laid off when business went downhill.

Henry Burris, the whiner and finger-pointer, laid some criticism on Buratto for Henry's lack of success in Calgary in the playoffs.

So I am pleased to see him in a good situation in Toronto. He and the Argos have Michael Bishop looking real good.

We here are for the most part sad that he was moved out of BC, and shocked that he was the fall guy for Calgary. His return to the CFL and the Lions is a nice story that did get some media attention. He isn't one of the boys alright, but he can give a team innovative game plans, something that seems to be missing from about 3/4's of the current CFL teams.

Burratto ending up in TO might have been the best thing to happen to Michael Bishop.

I have always been impressed with his athelticism and he has a rocket of an arm. Now he is displaying composure and proving he can throw the touch passes as well. He can do a lot of things that Printers could do, including throwing darts on the run, and will cause opposing defensive coordinators fits if he keeps playing with that kind of poise.

Next to the Riders fast start, he has been the surprise story of the season so far and the Argos are looking like a good bet to be playing at home in late November. Hopefully his wrist is okay but even a sprain on his throwing arm will keep him out for a while.

It'll help, but actually the light bulb started to come on in Bishop's head last year. (Honestly, I didn't think there was a light bulb in there.)

Jarious Jackson fans can take heart.
