The Argos trimmed another thirty-something player from their roster yesterday, severing ties with veteran defensive back Clifford Ivory.
<br>

<br>
A three-time CFL all-star during his five seasons with the Boatmen, Ivory is arguably coming off his least productive campaign in Toronto.
<br>

<br>
The 31-year-old joins six others who were shown the door late last week as the team looks to get younger and reduce its payroll in advance of the 2007 season.
<br>

<br>
A sixth-round pick of the NFL's San Diego Chargers in 1998, Ivory was signed by the Argos as a free agent in February 2002 after ending a two-year stint with the Hamilton Tiger-Cats.
<br>

<br>
Ivory was a fixture of the defensive backfield for his first three seasons as an Argo, earning all-star honours each year and a Grey Cup championship in 2004.
<br>

<br>

<br>

<br>
His playing time was cut dramatically this past season however as defensive co-ordinator Rich Stubler rotated him in and out of the lineup. Ivory also was bothered by injury for part of the season.
<br>

<br>
I am very upset about him being cut <img>
